Authentic Montessori • English Immersion • NIDO from 4 months of age
The first three years of a child’s life happen only once. At Harmony Montessori Park, we create an environment that allows children to make the most of this extraordinary period — through a close relationship with an attentive adult, in harmony with authentic Maria Montessori pedagogy and the individual pace of each child.

Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, scientist, and one of the most important educational reformers of the 20th century. By observing children, she developed a method based on deep respect for their natural development, independence, and inner drive to explore the world.
More than a hundred years later, her pedagogy is present all over the world, and many of her observations regarding the importance of movement, independent activity, concentration, a prepared environment, and the early years of life remain remarkably relevant and are reflected in modern knowledge about child development.
Montessori recognized that a young child does not need to be constantly “taught.” What the child needs is the right environment, time, opportunities to act, and a wise, prepared adult who can observe and recognize the moment when the child is ready for the next step.
That is exactly the kind of place we create at Harmony Montessori Park.
Maria Montessori called a young child’s extraordinary ability to learn the absorbent mind.
Until about the age of 3, a child does not experience the world in the same way as an adult — through conscious memorization of information. Instead, the child absorbs their environment. Language, movement, relationships, order, daily habits, the way adults treat them — all of this becomes part of their experience and helps them build themselves.
In the first years of life, there are also sensitive periods — special phases during which the child turns with great intensity toward specific areas of development: language, movement, order, small objects, social relationships, or independence.
That is why a young child may pour water from one container to another dozens of times. That is why they want to put on their own shoes, place things back exactly where they belong, open and close, transfer, or endlessly repeat a new word.
What may look to us like an ordinary child’s activity is, for a prepared Montessori teacher, valuable information about what the developing person needs at that very moment.
The most important element of Montessori is not beautiful materials or carefully arranged classrooms.
The most important element is the adult who can observe the child and understand their development.
A prepared Montessori teacher is able to notice emerging sensitive periods. They know when to present a new activity, when to help, and when to step back and allow the child to try independently. They understand why a child needs repetition and can protect the child’s emerging concentration.
That is why we devote so much attention to the qualifications of our staff.
Our team is prepared to work in accordance with Montessori pedagogy — not only in using materials and organizing the prepared environment, but above all in observing the child carefully and supporting their development consciously.
The Harmony Montessori Park Białystok team is led by Jolanta Czyżewska, an educator holding an International Montessori Teacher Diploma and many years of Montessori experience gained in the United Kingdom.
Because in order to follow the child, you must first learn to truly see them.

A young child needs closeness. They need an adult they trust, with whom they feel safe, and to whom they can come for help, comfort, or a hug.
It is from this sense of security that the courage to explore the world is born.
That is why, at Harmony, closeness and independence are not opposites.
A child who knows that an adult is nearby can more and more confidently try:
We do not do for the child what they are already ready to do independently. We help exactly as much as they need.
And every day we observe how, from these seemingly small experiences, a sense of agency, self-confidence, concentration, and joy in one’s own abilities begin to grow.

For us, Montessori is not just an hour in the daily schedule.
It is the way we prepare the space, talk to children, serve meals, help them get dressed, solve everyday difficulties, and respond to children’s needs.
An important part of the day is the child’s uninterrupted independent work. The child may choose an activity that corresponds to their current need, concentrate on it, and repeat it as many times as they need.
That is why we do not build our program around a large number of extra classes one after another. Instead, we give children space for something truly valuable: their own activity, concentration, a prepared environment, and the presence of a teacher who knows how to support their natural development.
A young child experiences the world with their whole being.
They grasp, transfer, match, thread, pour, scoop, open, and close. Step by step, they learn how to use the objects of everyday life.
Each of these activities develops hand-eye coordination, precision of movement, concentration, and planning. Sight, touch, hand movement, and the work of the developing brain come together in one experience.
That is why, instead of merely telling a child about the world, we allow them to touch it, experience it, and try it for themselves.
A natural extension of our classrooms is the private garden at Harmony Montessori Park.
There, children can experience nature with all their senses, plant and care for plants, observe their growth, work with soil, water, and sand, and create.
They will find a sandbox, mud kitchens, and a space for sensory, artistic, and movement-based experiences, prepared with the youngest children’s abilities in mind.
Here, it is okay to get dirty. Here, children can discover what happens to soil when water is added. Here, they can care for their own plant and one day discover that the first leaf has appeared.
The real world is fascinating for a young child. We allow them to discover it.

The absorbent mind makes the first years of life an extraordinary time for language development as well.
That is why, in our English Immersion program, English is not an extra class.
English-speaking caregivers accompany children in everyday life — during work, meals, dressing, play, and time in the garden. They speak, sing, read, and respond to children’s communication in English.
The child begins to understand a second language in relationship with another person and in a natural context, just as they acquire their first language.
No vocabulary lists. No testing. No “English lessons.”
Simply through immersion in the language.

In Italian, Nido means nest.
Our NIDO program was created for the youngest children — from as early as 4 months of age.
At this stage, a close and stable relationship with an adult, freedom of movement, sensory development, communication, and an environment prepared so that the infant can safely explore their own body and the world around them all become especially important.
We do not accelerate developmental stages. We create the conditions for the child to reach them naturally, at their own pace.
The program is available in two options:
NIDO HALF DAY
8:00–12:00
A calm morning program for families who need shorter care or want to begin their child’s nursery experience with part of the day.
NIDO FULL DAY
full-day program
A full NIDO program for children receiving care throughout the entire day.

BOOK A MEETINGThe first separation from a parent is a major event in a young child’s life.
That is why the settling-in process at Harmony takes place with the parent’s participation and at the child’s pace.
We give children time to get to know the place, the teachers, and the new rhythm of the day. First, we build a relationship and a sense of security. Only then does readiness to stay without Mum or Dad begin to emerge.
Not every child needs the same amount of time.
And they do not have to.
Harmony does not end at the nursery door.
We want to help parents understand why their child behaves in a certain way, what developmental stages they are currently going through, and how their natural development can also be supported at home.
That is why we will share Montessori knowledge with you through meetings, workshops, and individual consultations.
We will show you how to prepare the home environment, how to support independence without pressure, how to set boundaries with respect, how to notice emerging sensitive periods, and when to allow your child to do something independently — even if an adult could do it faster.
You do not need to turn your home into a Montessori classroom or buy a shelf full of materials.
Sometimes the greatest change comes from seeing your own child differently.
When you begin to notice how much your child can do on their own, if only given the right conditions, you may be amazed at how their independence, concentration, curiosity about the world, and confidence in their own abilities begin to flourish.
We want you to join us in watching your child flourish.
Because alongside your love, closeness, and sense of security, one of the most beautiful gifts you can offer a young child is trust in their abilities and a wise environment in which they can become themselves.

We believe that the best results appear when the nursery and the family truly work together.
That is why parents are an important part of the Harmony Montessori Park community.
We talk about children’s development, share our observations, organize consultations and Montessori meetings. We want not only to care for your child for part of the day, but also to accompany your family through one of the most fascinating periods of your child’s development.
We know how great an impact proper nutrition has on children’s development, concentration, and well-being. That is why we work with a trusted catering company specializing in nutrition for children and educational institutions.
Our menu stands out thanks to:
We support breastfeeding mothers. Expressed breast milk or formula may be left with us, and mothers are also welcome to come during the day to breastfeed their child.
